According to CEO of Beyond Blue, Georgie Harman research shows keeping active can help you stay mentally healthy or manage and recover from anxiety or depression. I couldn't agree more with Georgie because when I suffered from Post Natal Depression and decided to get super fit my PND lifted quickly and I never suffered from depression again until my brother took his life. When that happened nothing could help me get away from that grief and darkness except for time, and slowly but surely, time did help me heal.
About Coastrek and the Event
Since Coastrek began in Sydney in 2009 with 40 trekkers, 25,000 people, 90% of whom are women aged 35-55 years, have experienced the journey supported by over 200,000 sponsors and donors.
