Discovering NSW Via Car Road Trips

There's lots to discover in NSW via car road trips. Whether it's heading down to Bathurst for a V8 Supercar race, discovering the beauty of the Blue Mountains, or taking a trip to the pristine beaches on the NSW Coast, there are many sensational things to do in NSW.

Perhaps one of the most iconic places you can visit is the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Truly a sight to behold, the Blue Mountains is home to breathtaking views. We're not just talking about Lincoln's Rock which has become immensely popular on social media platforms like Instagram due to its daredevil vibes. High about Jamison Valley, the cliff seems to be situated high up in the heavens with rolling clouds and cerulean blue skies. However, contrary to popular belief, the spot isn't precisely located within the confines of the national park.
 

The spots that drivers should hit when touring the Blue Mountains, such as the botanical gardens in Mount Tomah, will instantly transport you into a lush landscape that looks like it came out of a fairytale. On the other hand, Jenolan Caves is home to crystal clear underground streams and crystal limestone formations that will blow your mind. Jenolan Caves is one of the oldest and most well-preserved caves in the world; it is an attraction that you won't forget.

Aside from the wonders of the Blue Mountains, Moss Vale is another top-rated attraction that you should visit if given a chance. The drive will be pleasant, and you'll find yourself greeted by peace and calm despite being only two hours away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney city. Rich with heritage, you'll feel like you're in the U.K, and it is as populated with bars and golf clubs as you could imagine. For something a little more remote and romantic, there's the less crowded Jervis Bay, a crowning jewel of New South Wales, with sand that is often touted to be the whitest in the world.

For those that enjoy scenic routes along the coast, you absolutely cannot miss Newcastle. New South Wales second most populous city, has hidden gems, such as the century-old Mereweather Ocean Baths and panoramic views at the Obelisk.

Of course, visiting Sydney and not exploring what the city itself has to offer is something of a crime. If you're road-tripping, make sure to make stops at Black Star. This pastry shop serves some of the best confectionery and cakes, such as their signature watermelon strawberry cake, and also, can you say that you've been to Sydney if you don't visit their world-famous Sydney Opera House? Even if you're not a fan, it is to Sydney what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. The Sydney Opera House is an iconic monument that is famous around the world.
