Foura is a Matchmaking Service to Help People Find Friends, Not Dates.

Foura was created to help people find friends not dates. Company founder Tam Al-Saad developed the idea to pair people up based on their interests, values, personalities, and hobbies. They are then brought together, four at a time, to have a face-to-face meeting.They proceed from signing up to meeting up without back-and-forth chatting or swiping.
Tam says that when he moved to Sydney and barely knew a few individuals seven years ago, he first had the notion of creating a way for people to meet new friends.
How Foura Works
Finish a quick survey. This survey lets you give some information about yourself so you can be matched with like-minded friends.
You will then be paired with three people Foura believe you'll click with.
Schedule a drink. You all gather at a Surry Hills bar or café predetermined for you. Foura gets you to sign up to meet up quickly so you can enjoy the fun part - meeting people! That's why there is no swiping and chatting on the app.
How you are matched
You'd like to make new friends. Likewise, the people Foura match you with do too. You will be paired with people who have similar interests and values to your own. Having a topic to discuss makes getting together less intimidating.
Safety
You can be mixed or single gender. You can leave it to fate or choose for yourself. You always meet up with four people at a partner venue, so people know where you are.
Meeting someone for the first time can be awkward and daunting. With four people present, the conversation may move while remaining somewhat informal so that you can get to know each other. It seems much more regular, like going out for drinks with friends!
