A French Organic Beauty Experience

It was an afternoon of pampering for me on last Saturday when I was invited to Ze Flamant Rose Beauty and Hair Salon in Surry Hills. Actually it’s just around the corner from me so very convenient. I met with Emilie and Cyril, who have collectively been serving the hairdressing & fashion industry for over 15 years.

Cyril offered me a beautiful cup of organic tea and a decadent chocolate truffle, which I enjoyed whilst I sat with Emilie for a consultation on my skin. The salon itself just screams ‘luxury’ it’s beautifully decorated and has two floors and the second story has a veranda overlooking leafy Goulburn St. Clients can sit out here whilst they are waiting for their hair colour to take and enjoy an organic tea or coffee whilst soaking up the Surry Hills atmosphere. Flamingo art decorate the walls and there are some beautiful and unusual pieces to look at, as you would expect with the name ‘flamant’.

The salon itself is very inviting and with two French owners you expect it to be stylish, and there is no lacking in style anywhere. It is no secret that the French are known for style and beauty and Ze Flamant Rose are all about Style yet there is one very big difference; Where possible, they use organic and eco-friendly products, and set new standards of sustainability for the beauty industry.

After my consultation with Emilie it was time for my treatment. I was taken into the treatment room, which had soft relaxing music and had a beautiful smell. I love aromatherapy and I always have beautiful scents in my apartment, it makes me happy.

This was the best facial I’ve ever had for a number of reasons; The organic products used are supplied from a Byron Bay company www.organicspa.com.au and they are incredible. Emilie told me that she would not use any other product. The range is made using the finest certified organic extracts combined with 100% naturally derived ingredients. I had one of the signature facials “Intense anti-ageing treatment” which also included a relaxing hand massage whilst my face mask was processing (or you can choose a scalp massage). I was in heaven and Emilie has an amazing healing ability, I felt totally energised.

Following my facial it was time for a wash and blow-wave upstairs. Again, where possible all products Ze Flamant Rose use are eco-friendly. How much pampering can one woman have in an afternoon? Well at Ze Flamant Rose a lot! This time I had the most amazing and longest scalp massage and hair treatment ever so I got another ‘chill out’ time. After the treatment Emilie styled my hair and somehow magically turned me into very ‘French Chic’ with a curl of a brush and very little product. Even my stylist, Arrnott Olssen, commented on my hair when he saw me the next day giving me the Arnott nod of approval.

I left the salon feeling like a million dollars. I am convinced that the more the world turns organic the better off we all will be and highly recommend Ze Flamant Rose.
