Linla is a captivating new Taiwanese social dining bar that promises to transport guests on a culinary journey. Nestled in the former home of the bar Dead Ringer, this exciting venture is the brainchild of Taiwanese-born, Sydney-based restaurateur and mixologist, Charles Chang.
Chang, the founder of the neighbouring Japanese fusion venue Moku and a former Top 100 finalist in the Diageo World Class Competition, has blended Taiwanese hospitality with pan-Asian social dining to create a unique dining experience. The name "Linla" captures the sound and feeling shared between friends when they toast – a moment of celebration, presence and connection that shapes the spirit of the venue.

Linla Surry Hills Menu
The menu at Linla offers an array of Taiwanese-inspired dishes, including the Night-Market Crispy Chicken, where guests can customise their own flavour profile, the Pork and Prawn Wontons in a creamy tom yum beurre blanc, and the XOXO Calamari Fettuccine with XO sauce. For dessert, the Fairy Bread Bao with vanilla ice cream puts a playful twist on the classic Australian treat.

Complementing the culinary offerings, Linla's house cocktails, curated by Chang, are designed for easy drinking while maintaining technical depth and layered flavours. Additionally, the private dining room adjacent to the main restaurant will be home to Moku chef Ha Chuen Wai's highly regarded omakase experience, where guests can embark on an intimate, multi-course tasting menu showcasing the freshest seasonal ingredients.

Linla's unique blend of Taiwanese hospitality, pan-Asian social dining, and innovative culinary and cocktail offerings is set to make it a must-visit destination for food and drink enthusiasts in Surry Hills and beyond.
