Terrigal Beach House - Sand, Sophistication and Surf

Terrigal Beach House Central Coast NSW

Terrigal has a new stylish surfside destination, Terrigal Beach House, and I recently had a fab lunch at this gorgeous casual dining concept on the Central Coast of NSW. The 1,400 sqm venue offers stunning ocean views and a relaxed vibe.

It has been a few of years since I last visited Terrigal and I observed the seaside village has even more of an upmarket feel to it with gorgeous boutiques and giftware stores. It is hardly surprising that Terrigal is a popular destination for holidaymakers.

The staff are super helpful and the venue has a crisp clean look with seating inside and outside.

The Terrigal Beach House culinary team worked collaboratively with Group Executive Chef Jamie Gannon (By Fassnidge and Laundy Hotels) who has lead the food direction for Sydney institutions Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel, Woolwich Pier Hotel and The Terminus Pyrmont on creating a fresh and inclusive menu underpinned by seasonal, locally sourced produce, taking cues from the venue’s seaside location.

From a beautifully designed, expansive restaurant by interior gurus, Design Madgwick, to the surfside outdoor terrace which hosts live acoustic music, Terrigal Beach House is the perfect place to unwind, relax and celebrate with friends.

The extensive fit out features loose leather banquettes mixed with easy rattan seating and solid oak tables for large groups to gather. A huge marble topped bar runs the length of the venue and is positioned to catch the cascading foliage from above. Stunning terrazzo flooring extends through the space and lightens and reflects the northern sunlight while timber boards are arranged to recreate the coastal boardwalk. The outdoor beach terrace area features over 1000sqm of dog friendly alfresco dining space perfect for taking in the view, the sun and the fun.

Bucket of prawns terrigal beach house

On the menu you will find Grilled Prawn Tostadas, Fish Tacos, a Charcuterie Board or perhaps one of the many gourmet pizzas on offer. Sip on a cocktail or craft beer, devour delicious food and let their hair down to live music. The Beach House Classics menu offers an extensive refined burger menu starring a shroom burger for the vegetarians and on the Fresh Menu, a range of mouth-watering salads features a Haloumi & Charred Pumpkin Salad with avocado, pomegranate, lemon, macadamia and quinoa crumb. Kids are catered for with a selection of classics served with complimentary ice cream.

I started with the Grilled Prawn Tostadas and they are superb. Grilled prawns, avocado, tomato, coriander, pickled red onion, blackened lime, wonton crisps (DF). Pictured top of this post.

There are three in the serving. I found the servings very large and ended up taking half my lunch home to finish for dinner.

Sydney Rock Oysters Terrigal Beach House

My second choice were 4 of the Sydney Rock Oysters. They came beautifully presented with a sides of lemon and a rich gazpacho (DF, GF). They were fresh and the gazpacho added pizzazz.

Fish Tacos Terrigal Beach House

Finally I had the Fish Tacos. Crispy flathead, jalapeno, radish, avocado, lettuce, spiced tomato, sour cream. Fabulous combination and Three to a serving so now you know why I had to take some home.

I'll be coming back next time I visit Terrigal.
