Sydney Chic Social : The Watershed, Ugg Australia Launch, The Star and Seriously Japanese.

by Deb Carr

UGG AUST

Last week I attended three launches in Sydney, firstly with the Iconic brand UGG Australia, which opened the doors to its second and largest Australian Flagship store - located within Sydney Arcade on King Street. The opening coincided with the launch of the highly anticipated Home Collection and has also introduced to Sydneysiders, the luxurious Loungewear range.

Introducing the new flagship store, media and VIP’s celebrated with an in-store soiree on October 28th 2014.

UGG AUSTRALIA

The gorgeous store consist of two floors stocking a range of extensive footwear, handbag, accessories and homewares.

The Watershed

On Thursday I had two launches, which isn’t unusual in this job. Luckily my good friend and fellow blogger, Arrnott Olssen, was also attending both events, so I had good company.

The first launch was at The Watershed & Cohibar which has undergone a renovation and rebrand giving Sydneysiders two beautiful new venues just in time for summer. It was a stunning Sydney night and we started off with Barcadi, however, I’m more of a champagne kind of girl, so switched to some bubbly. As you can see from my photos there was some great entertainment on offer.

Cohibar

Cohibar consists of Cuban influences and a wide variety of Rums and premium spirits and with the spectacular views, a great venue to go and unwind.

The Star

Next stop on Thursday was at the VIP launch of ‘Roll on Thursday’ at Sky Terrace.

As they say Thursday is the new Friday so what better way to start your weekend early at The Star where you can enjoy cocktails and sunsets at the rooftop bar, Sky Terrace. Then play, cheer, drink, eat and dance into Friday. Sky Terrace delivers a luxe rooftop experience with a distinctive urban feel, with Sydney’s hottest skyline views. Grab your friends and watch the sun go down, listening to the sounds of summer with an impressive line-up of musical talent.

And as a special treat for you foodies The Star’s culinary masters bring their signature dishes to the rooftop.

The Star

This is a stunning location with plenty of room. There was a celebrity or two I noticed on the night too.

Every Thursday from 5pm, starting 13 November.

Toshiba Seriously Japanese

Last night I was invited down to Serious Japanese: Toshiba Australia is taking its Seriously Japanese campaign to new heights with the launch of an exclusive three-day Sushi Rollercoaster pop-up event in Surry Hills, from 30th October to 1st November 2014.

Along for the [roller-coaster] ride is Zushi Restaurant which has designed an exclusive Japanese menu for diners to order via Toshiba’s cutting edge new range of tablet and 2-in-1 devices delivered directly aboard a custom built rollercoaster.

This was a one-off pop-up restaurant, which had people lining up down the street patiently waiting to sample this fun way of dining.

I attended this one by myself and enjoyed seeing sushi delivered on ‘the roller coaster’.
