IMG has announced that international supermodel Coco Rocha as the Official Event Ambassador of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney 2015.

Now in its 8th year, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney will bring Sydney to life with three days of world class runways, September 24 – 26, showcasing the ultimate edit of Australia's hottest designers’ Spring/Summer collections.

As part of her role as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney Ambassador, Rocha will make a special appearance sitting front row on Opening Night at Sydney Town Hall. After walking the red carpet, Rocha will see all her favourite local labels including Christopher Esber, Ginger & Smart and Dion Lee in the Australian Luxe show, debuting in 2015. After the show Rocha will join the Australian fashion industry and VIP guests in the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge.

As a major player in the global fashion industry, Rocha has graced the covers of over 100 international fashion titles, walked for top luxury brands including Versace, Louis Vuitton and Chanel, and has been shot by leading fashion photographers such as Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Testino and Annie Leibowitz.

Being one of the first in her field to embrace social media Rocha has positioned herself as one of the most digitally-savvy models of her generation. Named by Time Magazine in 2013 as one of the 140 best twitter feeds, typifies why her consumer fan base is large and engaged; her presence on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Tencent Weibo and various other social media platforms garners her a total of over 16 million followers.
