Harley Davidson, one of the biggest motorcycle brands is hosting their very own Harley Days festival spanning over one action packed weekend in Wollongong this October. The show features a range of activities fit for the whole family having free general admission over the weekend.
The show acts like a mini music festival hosting a variety of Australian acts over the course of the whole weekend. Bands like Diesel and The Radiators will be playing and other great acts throughout the duration of the weekend, adding to that rock and roll vibe Harley Davidson is so well known for.
Harley Davidson has also graciously offered to give away one of their new bikes to one lucky winner. Simply by purchasing a Harley Davidson pin you are put into the running to win Harley’s newest 2018 model, the Breakout bike, valued at over $30 000. This is an amazing opportunity for any Harley Davidson fan who is yet to purchase their first bike, and is just another great element of the Harley Days festival.
Harley Davidson is also displaying the Thunder Run, which involves the largest parade of Harley Davidson motorcycles in Australia. The run kicks off on the Sunday morning of the event where thousands of motorcycles can be heard roaring through the streets of Wollongong. Anyone is welcome to come along to the Thunder Run, with the brand hosting a massive breakfast in the company of course of some live rock and roll music.
The festival really is one for everyone with it having its own designated kids zone, as well as a variety of carnival rides. There’s plenty of bike demos and drag races for the rev heads out there, as well as some fashion shows for the wives and girlfriends that have been dragged along. The live music and abundance of food stalls also attribute to the success and appeal Harley Days has year after year.
So whether you know nothing about Harley Davidson, or live and breath all things motorbikes, Harley Days is an exciting and fun way to celebrate the culture of riding and has activities for the whole family. Happening over the 27th-29th of October, Harley Days is not one to miss!
