Make the Most of a Sunny Day in Sydney

There’s nothing better than spending a day outside in the sun, especially if you’ve been stuck indoors at work. And with some unpredictable weather recently, it’s always best to try and make the most of the warm weather when it’s around!

Bursting with fun and beautiful locations, there’s no excuse not to explore what Sydney has to offer. But it can be difficult deciding where to head to, which is why we’ve made a list of some of our favourite sunny destinations.


McKell Park Sydney

McKell Park, Darling Point

With views of the Harbour Bridge to the west and Sydney Heads to the east, McKell Park is the perfect spot for a relaxing picnic by the water. The lawns are manicured, with sandstone sculptures and exotic gardens also on sight to explore. So invite your friends, and enjoy snacks while taking in the picturesque view.


Bondi Icebergs

Bondi to Bronte walk

One of the most iconic walking trails in Sydney, the Bondi to Bronte walk which includes Tamarama and Mackenzies Bay, mixes exercise with fun. The trail takes you right on top of the ocean with rests stops along the way, allowing you to stop and admire the view. You can even take a dip at either beach, or both, after your walk! Plus, don’t forget to check out Bondi icebergs which are located at the southern end of Bondi Beach.


Manly Beach

Enjoy swimming and surfing while basking in the sunlight at one of Australia’s most famous beaches. There are also a variety of fun activities offered at Manly beach including snorkeling, diving, cycling, and informative tours. Picnic tables are also located on the promenade, with a bunch of tasty places to eat at also on offer.


Royal Botanic Gardens

Royal Botanic Gardens

As the oldest botanic garden and scientific institution in the country, the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney has an amazing collection of plants from around the globe. And with 30 hectares to explore, there is no shortage of adventure here. There are also free 1.5 hour guided walks available, which depart from the Information Booth outside the Garden shop at 10:30am, 7 days a week.


Luna Park Sydney

Luna Park

Full of outdoor entertainment, Luna Park is a great place to chill out on a sunny day. You can have a ride on the Ferris wheel and enjoy the spectacular harbor views, or if you’re more of a thrill seeker, there are plenty of attractions like the Wild Mouse to test your stomach.

There are a wide range of markets on offer in Sydney during the weekend, from inner city Glebe markets, to those right on Manly Beach, there’s something for everyone. You can even score yourself some unique treasures and enjoy some tasty food, while strolling under the suns rays.
