The Surry Hills Festival takes place on Saturday 22nd September. This year's Surry Hills Festival Power theme is Flower and it is bold and vocal, celebrating the founding of Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre (SHNC) in the 60s/70s and the vibrant creative community Surry Hills is loved for. The Surry Hills Creative Precinct program consist of special tours, exploring the heritage, art, great places to eat and creative enterprises of the area.

Designed by local experts in food, architecture, art, design and history, the tours and experiences are designed to uncover some of the best that Surry Hills has to offer. To kick it all off The Surry Hills Festival is running a competition for 2 people to win a spot on their VIP Christmas in July tour to be held on 15 July, this tour culminates in a specially curated Christmas feast at the Shakespeare Hotel. Then, on Saturday 22 September 2018, the annual Surry Hills Festival will culminate in one fantastic showcase of all there is to love about Surry Hills. Surry Hills Festival, a FREE family-friendly day, will be packed with the trademark live music line-up, plus pop up spaces, nooks and crannies bursting with performance, local narratives, food and art – an engaging showcase of what makes Surry Hills the heart of Sydney’s innovative creative district.
