Club Amalfi Watson Bay Hotel

Sydney Harbour meets the Italian Riviera as Club Amalfi returns to Watsons Bay Hotel with Mediterranean feasts, spritzes, DJs and sun-drenched Sunday celebrations.

Sydney's summer social calendar is about to get a little more glamorous as Club Amalfi returns to the iconic Watsons Bay Hotel on Sunday 18 October 2026.

Bringing a taste of the Italian Riviera to Sydney Harbour, the popular European-inspired experience transforms the hotel's waterfront Top Deck into a lively Mediterranean-style beach club, complete with leisurely long lunches, refreshing spritzes, music and dancing.

Taking place on selected Sundays throughout the warmer months, Club Amalfi offers the perfect excuse to gather friends, dress for a summer afternoon and enjoy a little European holiday atmosphere without leaving Sydney.

A Taste of the Italian Riviera on Sydney Harbour

There's something wonderfully appealing about a long Mediterranean lunch overlooking the water, particularly when the afternoon gradually turns into a celebration.

At Club Amalfi, guests can settle in for a four-hour experience beginning with a generous shared feast inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean.

As the afternoon unfolds, DJs take over, the music picks up and the relaxed lunch atmosphere transforms into a vibrant waterfront party.

Think sunshine, spritzes, dancing and the unmistakable energy of a European summer beach club, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Watsons Bay.

Whether celebrating a birthday, catching up with friends or simply making the most of Sydney's warmer weather, Club Amalfi is designed for those who believe Sundays deserve a little indulgence.

Mediterranean Dining Made for Sharing

Food is central to the Club Amalfi experience, with a multi-course menu celebrating fresh Mediterranean ingredients and classic Italian-inspired flavours.

The feast begins with burrata and heirloom tomatoes dressed in extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil and sea salt.

Guests can also enjoy a traditional antipasto selection featuring prosciutto, salami, mortadella, olives, marinated artichokes and pickled vegetables.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the Spencer Gulf kingfish crudo, served with citrus dressing, chilli, shaved fennel and sea herbs, while freshly baked rosemary and sea salt flatbread comes accompanied by whipped ricotta and roasted peppers.

For the main course, the menu features roasted market fish with olive, caper and herb salsa, alongside grilled dry-aged sirloin steak served with rocket and jus.

Accompaniments include a crisp cos wedge salad with parmesan and basil, and fried chat potatoes with rosemary.

It's a menu designed for leisurely dining, conversation and sharing plates around the table.

Spritzes, Sunshine and Sunday Celebrations

Adding an extra European touch this season, St-Germain is joining Club Amalfi, with guests welcomed by a complimentary Hugo Spritz on arrival.

The refreshing cocktail sets the tone for an afternoon that combines relaxed waterfront dining with a lively social atmosphere.

Once lunch is finished, the celebrations continue with DJs, dancing and the playful beach club traditions that have become part of the Club Amalfi experience.

And with Watsons Bay's spectacular harbour setting, it's easy to imagine spending the entire afternoon enjoying the views, music and company.
