The Hunter Valley is not exactly in Sydney but really worth the drive.

Things to do in Sydney | Visit Hunter Valley Wineries

I took a quick overnight trip to the Hunter Valley last Sunday and even though it was just for one night it was a refreshing and much needed break.

First stop was Oliver's on the way up the F3 - being a bit of a health nut I love Oliver's organic food and the coffee is really ...really good.

Once we arrived at the Villa Provence which made us feel like we were in France, it was off to visit the wineries for wine and cheese tasting.

The winners for us were definitely Brokenwood Wines for the most fun tasting thanks to the wonderful Mandi (pictured) and McGuigan Wines.
