She may only be in her early 20’s yet Jessica Wilson's career has seen her work at Mercedes Fashion Week Australia from creation direction to model casting. She co-produces and freelances at runway shows during Australia and New York Fashion Weeks and will soon be off to Paris to co-produce a Couture Show. Wait there’s more! Jessica is the co-founder of Stashd – an App that has attracted users in more than 80 countries and has been featured as one of Apple’s Best New Apps. More about that later!

With obvious entrepreneurial genes Jessica began working as an event planner at just 16. By the age of 20 she was working on fashion shows with some of the biggest names in the industry. Jessica has worked on shows in New York for Akira, Bowie, Samantha Wills, Toni Maticevski and Bettina Liano. Not bad for a country girl who was told by her Careers Advisor she would never get a fashion internship! We are pleased to say that Jessica wasn’t daunted by that advice and found her own internship despite not having any contacts in the industry.

These days this young dynamo travels to New York twice a year working on shows as well as freelancing for Australian designers to produce shows for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks.

Now getting back to the app. Originally it was created as a bit of fun however as more people started to use the app Jessica and co-founder, Pete Neill, decided to turn it into business – and that’s exactly what they did.
