Electronic Music Conference Announces Program to Feature Flume

Asia Pacific’s leading Electronic Music Conference is coming to Sydney with more than 80 artists and industry leaders speaking. With over 20 panels to be held across leading Sydney venues this is one conference music lovers will not want to miss.

Australia’s biggest dance music export Flume will be speaking along with Dutch big room hero Laidback Luke, Grammy award winning producer Cedric Gervais, Windish Agency’s Latane Huges, Vicious Boss and DJ John Course, The Preset’s manager Will Larnach-Jones, disco legend Late Nite Tuff Guy, Laneway Festival boss Danny Rogers, ARIA nominee Kite String Tangle and the other half of What So Not, Emoh Instead.

‘Discovery’ is the conference theme with a focus on helping emerging artists on how to be discovered and have thriving careers in the industry.

In addition, other big name artists include Porter Robinson, Steve Aoki, Will Sparks, Peking Duk and The Aston Shuffle plus some of the world's leading industry figures to Sydney including:

Donnie Estopinal (SFX/Disco Donnie Presents): Regarded by many as the Godfather of dance music in the US, Disco Donnie Estopinal books hundreds of major shows a year and along with Pasquale Rotella created the biggest touring dance festival in the world, Electric Daisy Carnival.

Tastemaker, DJ, producer and promoter, Gary Richards (Destructo) of Hard Events is the creator of Holy Ship, Hard Summer and many more of the most influential festivals and events in America.

Matt Colon manages possibly the most recognised DJ on the planet Steve Aoki as well as Australian duo Nervo with his management company Deckstar representing over 40 dance acts.

Johnny Shockey is the Founder of LED Presents which recently formed a partnership with Coachella parent Goldenvoice which sees Shockey booking electronic music talent for the famed Sahara Stage.

Highlights on this year’s program features over 20 panels including keynote presentations from Porter Robinson and Steve Aoki, as well as a look at the team behind Flume in ‘Meet the team behind the Flume phenomenon’ and the inside look at 2014 biggest success story in ‘Meet the Team behind Peking Duk’.

Second release passes to EMC, which takes place December 2-4 in Sydney, are currently on sale for $349 (plus GST + booking fee) until November 13. Delegates can claim discounted airfares from official EMC partner Qantas and special hotel rates from partners The Diamant and Kirketon.

EMC is a central part of ARIA Week and is supported by Destination NSW, the City of Sydney, the Australia Council for the Arts, Sounds Australia and the Potts Point Partnership.
