U.S. sports-inspired urban store and café, Lidzcaps.com, is reporting a triple digit spike in sales since the announcement of Jarryd Hayne’s signing to NFL team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Alan McArthur, owner of Lidzcaps says the concept store has found it hard to keep up with the demand for San Francisco 49ers stock.

“We noticed interest in 49ers caps increase the moment Jarryd Hayne was announced in the spring camp and after every pre-season game orders would fly in,” McArthur said.

“Ever since he made the cut, 49ers gear has just flown out the door.

We planned ahead and ordered extra stock, but have been struggling to keep up with the demand.

McArthur predicts demand for official NFL gear will only increase during the season, and the lead up to christmas.

“This is just the start of things to come. If Hayne plays as well as he did in the pre-season, sales will just explode,” McArthur said.

“There aren’t many stores in Australia catering to fans of American sports culture so we’re well placed to ride the wave.

“We have an in-store fitting station and expert fitting advice available online, so Aussies who have never bought a fitted cap before can enjoy the best fit possible.”

Lidz Caps is open 7 days a week and online sales are available at lidzcaps.com + coffee shop.
