Sydney Restaurant Review: Sheraton on the Park's Yulefest

Sheraton on the Park Yulefest

Sydney Chic was invited to sample the plethora of sumptuous dining available this season at Feast by Sheraton the Park.

Featuring an internationally inspired menu with a Yulefest theme for the winter festivities, Feast is truly a dining experience of a 5 star calibre.

Sydney Restaurant Reviews

Your Sydney Chic Style Editor was literally blown away.... Sure I've been to buffets before and certainly I've experienced some of the best dining in the city. But what I would say about this buffet is that it truly feels like a restaurant.

Sheraton on the Park Sydney

We were seated by a maitre d' and then greeted by our waiter for the evening, Sebastian. Totally professional, but friendly and obliging, Sebastian swiftly delivered two glasses of Chandon sparkling to begin with. We then decided it was time to start our "feast".

It began with fresh Sydney Rock and Pacific Oysters, juicy fresh king prawns and champagne lobster.

Champagne Lobster

We had been earlier that day to the Sydney Fish Markets and we were skeptical that anything could come close to the seafood we'd experienced there, but actually the quality, freshness and the way it was delivered exceeded our expectations in every way!

For lovers of fine food the meal continues with fine cheeses of the world, international wok dishes and curries, soups, salads, and of course concludes with the token roast turkey for Yulefest along with Virginia baked maple glazed ham and all of the trimmings!

Christmas in July

It's impossible to fit everything in when you visit a place like this but the dessert section as you'll see what just too "attractive" in its own right ....

All the time we were enjoying the meal our waiter (although exceptionally busy with the other 150 or so diners) remained fully attentive to our needs and was able to professionally answer all of our questions from the wine list which was also surprisingly extensive and certainly of a world class calibre.

The venue itself is resplendent and glamorous and the dining rooms subtle but pleasant decor adds a lovely sense of occasion to what is a highly recommendable Sydney dining experience !
