Chatswood Chase Sydney Hosts Annual Spring/Summer VIP Runway

Chatswood Chase Sydney

Spring is in the air and to welcome the change of season, Chatswood Chase Sydney hosted their annual Spring / Summer VIP Runway Event to unveil the latest must-have collections from both Australian and international designers. And of course they invited @sydneychicblog along with @sydneystyleman to preview the fashions for the season.

Chatswood Chase Sydney

We arrived at the beautiful Chatswood Chase to be greeted by a string quartet and some delicious canapés ... along with a funny little bottle of sparkling wine with a blue candy striped straw that tasted like fruit cup cordial (perhaps the only non stylish part of the evening haha).

We were immediately whisked away to the media wall with 5 photographers flashing away the dynamic duo... and then it was time for the highly-anticipated fashion parade hosted by journalist and Channel Seven presenter, Edwina Bartholomew.

There was no shortage of style inspiration on the night, with fashions from leading designers such as Carla Zampatti, Camilla and Leona Edmiston, as well as retailers including Calibre, Cue, Gorman, Herringbone, Kookai, Marcs, Rodeo Show, David Jones and Seed to name a few!

Sydney Chic was also amongst the first to see The Red Rose Dress, a new work by acclaimed UK paper artist Zoe Bradley and commissioned exclusively by Chatswood Chase Sydney. Standing an impressive three and a half metres tall by four metres long, The Red Rose Dress consists of nearly 400 hand-sculpted paper roses to create a stunning bespoke couture gown.

Apparently your Sydney Chic Style Editor was quite a hit in his bright watermelon high top sneakers and Deb looked radiant in her pretty a-line Leona Edmiston dress!

It was also great to see our good friend @mike.physique making his runway debut as a model on the catwalk looking as handsome as ever strutting his stuff in this seasons menswear looks for the races and the field.

I look forward to revisiting the Chase next week when I take my mum shopping to spend some of the great gift vouchers we received on the night!
