France meets Sydney, So Frenchy So Chic

So Frenchy So Chic

It was a sea of colour and all things french and chic at Bicentennial park in Glebe recently for the annual "So Frenchy So Chic" Festival. And it certainly lived up to its name.

When we think French we think of romance, spirit and a passion for life and what we were part of on Saturday was certainly all that and more. With the hashtag #spreadthelove we joined thousands of revellers who were all enjoying the party spirit. Picture a sea of blankets, picnic rugs and parasol umbrellas, stylishly clad mademoiselles and monsieurs enjoying some amazing beats from the huge variety of acts performing and all this with the harbour and the skyline as the backdrop.

Renault KOLEOS

The ethos for the festival is that the best of France enjoys the best of Sydney and its a fusion that works so well. As official festival partners Renault Australia (www.renault.com.au) invited us to enjoy from the vantage point of their VIP section. We were lucky enough to be chauffeured to the event in the brand new Renault KOLEOS, their newest release. It's essentially a luxury SUV, but it takes the brand to a whole new level of luxury with every feature you can possibly imagine.

So Frenchy So Chic

Once at the event we enjoyed touring around the festivals stalls, meeting the other party goers and enjoying the atmosphere. And all the usual French staples of savoir faire were there to be enjoyed - fondue, macarons, delicious baguettes, cheeses, Kroneburg lager and of course the endlessly flowing Laurent Perrier Champagne.

As day turned into night the dance floor was the place to be as the music intensified and the party hit a new level. People of all ages joined together to celebrate their love of Sydney as well as the French flair of the event. Our favourite of the four French acts of the event was Deluxe who finished the night with a highly contagious electric energy. With their indie cool sound that blurs pop, hip hop, funk, soul and big band elements you couldn't help but dance with joy.

We can't wait for our invite to next years event!
