Chatswood Chase Sydney 2017 Autumn Winter Collection Showcase

Photos: Jason Corroto

It was a star-studded night of glamour, style and fashion when Chatswood Chase hosted its 2017 autumn winter collection this past week.

@SydneyChicBlog, along with @styleguy.tv were privileged to be VIP front row guests for the extravaganza which featured all of the latest fashions from local and international brands such as Carla Zampatti, Leona Edmiston, Sandro from Paris, Country Road, Basque and many more.

The audience and shoppers were treated to the very best in styling and presentation as the runway warmed us up for what's to come at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Our favourite looks opening the show were from Carla Zampatti - a bevy of black and white with gold accents. The inspiration as Glen the Style Editor describes "a little military, a little air hostess and very St Tropez".

Other standouts were the move toward textural tactile elements like fur in all its resplendent luxury and chic styling. Also playing with lots of layering and different patterns, fabrics and juxtaposing different styles - chic street, casual glamour, and even the move towards muted tones and pastel pinks and blues from some of the collections this season, which isn't typical for the colder months.

The other standout was of course Leona Edmiston and Alannah Hill; all about a woman celebrating fashion, which is pretty and oh so feminine. It was also really beautiful to see so many looks that were elegant in their shapes and offered women so many options with length, neckline and a silhouette that enhances the body shape.

Finally the bling for the evening well and truly came from the Camilla collection the standout piece being a glitzy south-of-France-chic motif short jumpsuit with coordinating oversized shawl jacket which flowed effortlessly on the runway for a look that was oh so elegant perfect for any special event.

Guests were also entertained on the evening by the songbird of the Australian stage herself, Ms Marina Prior who performed a selection of her favourite pieces from shows that she's appeared. She herself was runway worthy in her couture gowns and her beauty and grace was only superseded by her effortless and divine soprano voice.

The other special note worthy aspect to the evening was artist, Gabby Malpas, who has designed an exquisite 100% silk scarf. For a limited time, Chatswood Chase Sydney shoppers will receive this beautiful scarf when they spend over $500.

Keep an eye on www.styleguy.tv for a rundown of this year’s looks for men from @calibreaus and @jacklondon - you're sure to see the sporting some of the new pieces at their upcoming events.

Thanks for another great visit to Chatswood Chase
