Distillery Botanica, Erina - gin and oysters

If you’re seeking a sensory escape just one hour north of Sydney, Distillery Botanica Erina on the Central Coast has unveiled a stunning new cellar door, immersive garden, and a suite of hands-on experiences for gin lovers and curious creatives alike.

Tucked away in Erina, this boutique distillery has long been a hidden gem for those in the know. Now, with a newly completed 144-square-metre cellar door and expansive 760m² botanical garden, the experience is more enticing than ever. Whether you're a local or planning a visit to the Central Coast, Distillery Botanica is now a must on your itinerary.

Discover the Art of Distillation

Stepping through the ornate iron gates, visitors are greeted by manicured gardens that guide you to the heart of the new space—a towering 2400-litre copper still that proudly commands a corner of the room. This grand centrepiece is the backbone of Moore’s award-winning spirits.

Distillery Botanica Erina - Venue

Along the eastern wall, sixteen copper stills sit beneath wide windows overlooking the citrus and herb garden. It’s here that guests can participate in Distil Your Own Gin  or Vodka workshops—experiences that include hands-on learning, botanical harvesting, and a few welcome tastings along the way.

The interior is as welcoming as it is functional, with tall tables and bar stools arranged to host cocktail-making classes, distilling workshops, and guided tastings. Whether you're there to learn or sip, the atmosphere invites you to settle in and savour.

Sip, Sample, and Stroll the Gardens

For those keen to explore the full range, guided gin tastings are offered at the bar for just $5, or a more leisurely seated tasting for $15 allows guests to sample the entire collection—including the globally celebrated Moore’s Dry Gin, and the cult-favourite Mr Black coffee liqueur, originally born right here before going global.

Outside, the Mediterranean-inspired garden feels like a destination in itself. Designed to mirror the elegance of Persian citrus gardens, it features a custom-built martini-glass fountain, ornamental rill, and rows of botanicals used in the very spirits produced on site. The garden also plays a central role in the distilling workshops, where guests can pick fresh ingredients to craft their own unique blends.
