Recently family and I celebrated a birthday at The Farmer's Wife Distillery, and the experience was exceptional. As we stepped inside, we were welcomed by a magnificent open fire, surrounded by plush sofas and armchairs. To the right, the serving area, adorned with stunning green tiles, added to the inviting ambiance.

The distillery's spacious interior, with its high ceilings, felt airy and welcoming. Pet owners can also enjoy the charming outdoor seating area.

The distillery shop offers an array of beautiful gin-related items, including candles, diverse gin flavours, soaps, and more.

A Culinary Delight at The Farmer's Wife Distillery

During our visit, we sampled a variety of gin cocktails and one mocktail. I chose the mocktail, which turned out to be one of the most flavourful and well-crafted non-alcoholic beverages I've ever tasted. The bartender's skill in creating this mocktail was remarkable, capturing the essence and complexity typical of alcoholic cocktails. Each sip was a delightful experience, perfectly balanced and refreshingly sophisticated, rivalling even the most intricate gin cocktails on the menu.

We also shared a grazing board, which was more than ample for the four of us. Additionally, we enjoyed a Margherita pizza topped with garden-fresh tomatoes, basil, and buffalo mozzarella. The house-baked cornbread with a creamy topping, honey-drizzled haloumi, and a fig salad completed our meal.
