If you're looking for something a little different these winter school holidays, the Australian Museum has unveiled a fun-filled program centred around its latest exhibition, Bloodsuckers: Nature's Vampires.
To celebrate, families can take advantage of a special two-for-one ticket offer to the interactive exhibition, where visitors can discover the fascinating science behind mosquitoes, leeches, ticks and other creatures that survive by feeding on blood. Through hands-on exhibits, larger-than-life displays and interactive experiences, the exhibition explores how these tiny predators have shaped ecosystems, medicine and even popular culture.
The school holiday program also includes a range of special events designed for curious young minds.

Creative children aged 5 to 16 can join the **Bloodsuckers Splatter & Sketch Workshop** on 7 and 8 July, where they'll learn scientific illustration techniques before creating their own bloodsucker-inspired artwork.
Families can also experience the museum after dark during Bloodsuckers After Dark: Family Night on 8 July. The evening features exclusive exhibition access, live talks, music, interactive activities and fascinating insights into the important role blood-feeding animals play in nature.
Movie lovers won't want to miss the Bloodsuckers Film Series on 18 July, with screenings including Hotel Transylvania, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the cult classic The Lost Boys. Entry is available on a pay-what-you-wish basis.

General admission to the Australian Museum remains free, while online exhibition tickets start from $16 for children and $24 for adults. Australian Museum members receive complimentary entry to Bloodsuckers: Nature's Vampires on their first visit.
Located opposite Hyde Park in Sydney's CBD, the museum makes an easy family day out during the winter break. Visitors travelling from outside Sydney can also take advantage of accommodation packages at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park, just a short walk from the museum.
