Soak Bathhouse to open in Bondi Junction
The secret is out. Soak Bathhouse is getting ready to open its third bathhouse and this urban oasis is set to be the biggest and most exciting one yet.
Nestled in the heart of Bondi Junction as part of the new Verdical development, the new bathhouse expects to welcome guests in late 2024, offering a new type of social wellness and relaxation for Sydney-siders.
True to Soak Bathhouse's style, the Bondi Junction location will be a fusion of urban convenience and natural serenity, boasting an array of amenities, including two large mineral pools, three hot springs inspired thermal spas, sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool and an invigorating cold bucket.
Guests will also have the option of enjoying additional features including two state-of-the-art infrared saunas, captivating LED facials, and full body massage.
The Bondi Junction location is poised to elevate Soak Bathhouse's legacy, delivering an experience that effortlessly marries luxury with accessibility. The indoor facility, seamlessly connected to the urban surroundings, offers a fresh take on social wellness that's poised to redefine the Sydney spa landscape.
Following the unprecedented success of its pioneer location on the Gold Coast and subsequent location in West End in Brisbane, Soak Bathhouse owners Alexis and Niki Dean said Soak Bathhouse will offer something never before seen in Sydney.
“So many Sydney-siders lead busy lives and sometimes we forget to make time for ourselves. Soak offers an opportunity to create some down time, either individually or with friends, where people can spend 90 minutes and get a micro dose of self-care on a regular basis,” Mrs Dean said.
“Offering convenience and affordability was high on the list of priorities when setting out on the journey of developing Soak Bathhouse because it is something that is not typically associated with day spas and wellness.”
Centred around the pillars of wellness, inclusiveness, convenience and affordability, Soak Bathhouse caters to both individuals and groups, with a relaxing, social environment that has become a meeting place for people to connect in a way that is re-energising on a whole new level.
Alexis said her and Niki set out to create an environment that embraces its urban location while presenting a space that offers a moment of escapism to a nature-filled experience, similar to that of a hinterland hot spring.
“Our goal was to create a welcoming wellness space for everyone to enjoy. Whether they’re locals prioritising their self-care, first-timers having a social soak with friends, or holidaymakers exploring this stunning city, our guests know every time they visit they will have a truly unique and special experience they can’t find elsewhere,” Mrs Dean said.
“We love seeing so many people reap the benefits of bathing through 90-minute soak sessions as well as the option of private experiences including massage, LED light therapy and infrared sauna.”
Mrs Dean said Bondi Junction’s central urban environment was perfect for Soak’s first interstate bathhouse.
“The vibrant, central location of Bondi Junction fits perfectly with our philosophy of creating natural environments in urban locations,” she said.
“Our goal is to create a space that offers a moment of escapism to a nature filled experience, similar to that of a hinterland hot spring.
“Because we are creating an indoor oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Sydney, our plan is to bring the nature element in ourselves.
“The raw finishes of natural materials give an authentic touch of nature while still providing a sense of luxury in the design.”
“When we saw the elegant design of the Verdical development by Luigi Rosselli Architects, and the way it blends the urban with the natural environment, we knew it was the perfect space in which to create our latest bathhouse.”
Soak Bathhouse opened its Mermaid Beach, QLD location in 2020, while the Brisbane bathhouse opened its doors late 2022.
