Machiavelli's younger, hipper restaurant and cafe - Mach 2

Machiavelli is one of my favourtite Sydney restaurants because of the outstanding service, authentic delicious Italian cuisine and the venue itself; adorned with corporate, media and political history on the walls. Many business deals have been made at Machiavelli!

Now, after all these years, Machiavelli have opened a younger, hipper version of the restaurant incorporating a café and underground bar; Mach2 with restaurants in the city (cnr Clarence & Barrack Streets), and the Sydney International Airport.

I attended a launch party for Mach2 at the Sydney International Airport recently, and as I expected, Mach2 lived up to the Machiavelli name. Guests were treated to fabulous food and drink and watched on as Peter Fitzsimons unveiled his portrait; one of many black and white photos that are on the wall, including the one above of The Rolling Stones.

Mach2 serves Italian favourites such as Antipasto, Calamari Fritti, Spaghetti, Meatballs, Risotto, Veal Escalopes and an All-Day Breakfast featuring house-made sausages.

The city restaurant's stylish and modern fit-out seats 80 people and boasting Machiavelli’s famous wall art. Mach2 offers a full bar and wine list, a Kids Menu and also serves take-away café snacks & Caffe Aurora from the house of Vittoria.
