Sydney High Tea Fit For A Queen: Sheraton on the Park's Queen Elizabeth II High Tea

Sheraton on the Park Sydney

Recently my sister-in-law and I had time to spend a couple of hours together whilst sipping on a glass of Moet and enjoying a delightful High Tea thanks to Sheraton on the Park in Sydney.

Sheraton on the Park, Sydney created to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest reigning UK monarch. The “Queen Elizabeth II High Tea” menu features some of Her Majesty's renowned favourite treats.

We started off with a glass of Moet and then a three tiered cake stand consisting of savoury and sweet options was soon brought to our table.

The dainty sandwiches came with delicious fillings including warm peppered ricotta, salmon and paprika jam on rye bread, avocado smash, egg, cherry tomatoes and prosciutto on multigrain bread, prawn mayonnaise and cress on white bread and pastrami and Swiss cheese mini croissant. Pictured here is the prawn mayo and cress, which was a real winner for me!

Then it was time for the sweets! We enjoyed freshly baked blueberry and white chocolate chip scones, plain scones with strawberry jam and Devonshire cream, Victoria sponge cake, red velvet cupcakes, lemon meringue pies, upside-down strawberry pavlovas and oatmeal cookie sandwiches with dark chocolate ganache. I chose the scones and jam and cream as my favourite and that’s maybe because I was actually born in the UK and I still have that British tradition buried in me somewhere.

Mayu chose a Vittoria espresso coffee to finish off and I decided on a fragrant Dilmah Earl Grey Tea.

Sheraton on the Park’s beautifully appointed The Gallery Tea Lounge is an elegant space located in the hotel’s lobby with a contemporary setting and views of the magnificent Hyde Park. The perfect setting for such a regal high tea!

The “Queen Elizabeth II High Tea” is a twist on Sheraton on the Park’s popular Traditional High Tea that is available all-year round.

Sheraton on the Park’s “Queen Elizabeth II High Tea” starts from AUD$49 per person, and is available from 11:30am to 5:00pm daily.

I found the service very efficient and friendly.
