Sydney Restaurant Review: Fieldhouse Restaurant & Lounge
Fieldhouse Restaurant and Lounge have launched a new menu and Sydney Chic was invited down to try out what was on offer. Executive Chef, Aman Prasad has created some tasty dishes with the focus on share plates and casual dining options.
The restaurant has a nice feel about it and one wall features a mural painted by Adam, the F&B Manager. That's it below with Chef Aman standing proud with a huge plate of ribs!
Our table ordered some entrees to share;
Chilled Prawns 19 Garden patch, fire roasted corn salsa, tomato & brandy dressing
Salt & Pepper Squid 17 Thai style salad, fried onion, num jim dressing Smoked Salmon 19 Yarra Valley salmon caviar, caper berries, dill aioli, toasted brioche crumbs, limoncello dressing
Each one of these entrees looked appealing and tasted just as good. The Salt & Pepper squid was tender and the num jim dressing added a nice touch. The humble smoked salmon was turned into something quite fancy with the extra touches and the finishing touch of the limoncello dressing was perfect.
I love prawns, especially when they are super fresh and are mixed with a nice salad and this dish was my favourite, I really enjoyed the tomato and brandy dressing.
There is plenty on the menu to choose for mains, from atlantic salmon, steak, burgers, lasagne and ribs. All looked appealing especially those ribs, however I chose something a little lighter:
Chicken Breast - Hawkesbury 28 Thyme gremolata, fire roasted baby tomatoes, lemon pepper berries, steamed potato I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. I was eyeing off those ribs that one of my dining partners had as well, but there is no way I could finish off 1.2kg of Pork Ribs. You can check out the full menu here. Download Menu.
