Penny's Cheese Shop Potts Point

Penny's Cheese Shop

If I knew that Penny's Cheese shop was going to be my neighbour soon I wouldn't have moved out of my flat in Potts Point!

Previously occupied as Leo Cafe, Penny's Cheese Shop is the latest edition to Roslyn Street in Potts Point. Penny Lawson, who has a passion for curd has 20 years experience in the food industry and opened her cheese shop a couple of months ago. It has been her desire for a long time to open a cheese shop where she displays her range of local and international cheese selections and many other gourmet treats too.

Penny's Cheese Shop

This is the first time I've been back to Potts Point since my Sea Change in December, and nothing much has changed except now the addition of this corner shop which is a foodie's paradise. As soon as I walked into the cheese shop I was hit with the aroma of strong cheese and so many choices!

Penny will cut your cheese to order and if you need some catering she can organise platters and a cheese-tower building.

As you can see from the photos in this post there are plenty of delightful gourmet treats on offer at Penny's Cheese Shop.

Penny has been at the forefront of the specialty cheese sector as a retailer and commentator and is a passionate supporter and promoter of Australian producers. She was Executive Officer of the Australian Specialty Cheesemakers' Association for five years, and currently serves as a cheese judge both here and interstate so she knows a thing or two about cheese.
