Fancy Hand Fans for Fashionistas

fancy hand fans

They may be a thing of the past but fans are coming back in style as a way to cool down in our hot Australian heat. Fancy Hand Fans is the creation of Sharon Jerusalmy who came up with the idea to create trendy designer fans one day when she was fanning herself in a cafe with a menu. Sharon's daughter pointed out that it did not look very elegant and the idea for Fancy Hand Fans was born.

Based in Tel Aviv, Sharon's Fancy Hand Fans are shipped all around the world and have been used as an accessory by Christina Aguilera who fanned herself in four episodes of the TV reality show The Voice.

Fancy Hand Fans makes for a timeless fashion accessory with a practical use of staying cool and looking hot! Sharon designs fans to reflect the urban chic of today's fashion and to match any piece of a stylish women's wardrobe. There are some really great designs to choose from that I'm sure will be a talking point for the woman who uses them.

The fans are made of top quality cherry wood and cotton. Each hand fan is sold in an organza pouch; a matching gift bag; and a brochure illustrating FANCY's Urban Fan Language*.

*FANCY's Urban Fan Language: as a fun gimmick, Sharon adapted the coded language of the fan used in the 19th Century to suit today’s modern lifestyle. Whether in a coffee shop, bar, or any other “hot spot”, communicate silently and discreetly with just a twist of the wrist.

Fancy Hand Fans are good quality, they are certainly not the sort of fan you would expect to find for a couple of dollars in a discount store. I chose the Peacock fan above because I adore those birds and their brilliant colours.

Check out all the other great designs on the Fancy Hands Fans website.
