Computer programming for kids

Computers are all around us, up to 80% of jobs require some form of computer skills. I am Drae Ockenden and I have joined Sydney Chic as a tech contributor and I am here to teach kids aged from 10 to 16 how to read and write computer code.

I teach kids python, an extremely well known, high-level, easy to learn, and versatile programming language that is used by developers, data scientists, software engineers, and even hackers. Python is used by programmers because it can complete complex tasks in an efficient manner. Python is recommended to be the first programming language you learn because of its clean syntax and the fact that it is one of the easiest programming languages to learn. Python is used a lot for web development and artificial intelligence. Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, Google, Spotify, Netflix, and many more big names are all based on python programming.

Why should my child learn to code? - Learning to code increases focus and concentration - Coding teaches kids to break big problems down and focus on smaller parts - Programming helps with kids creativity, maths, and problem-solving, confidence, and more - Computers are the way of the future!
