NSW Wine and Food Festival Review | Intercontinental Cafe Opera

By Deb Carr

On day two of my visit to the Sydney Cellar Door in Hyde Park I decided to visit the Intercontinental Cafe Opera for my lunch. The stand looks fantastic. Chef Julien suggested I try the slow-cooked Hunter Valley Berkshire Pork Belly with Hazelnut, Plum, Sweet Potato Piquillo Pimento Crackle then followed by Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar Pepe Saya Peanut Cracker and Vanilla Chantilly.

The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and served by happy people enjoying working at the The Sydney Cellar Door. Whilst I was there I also tasted the Pepe Saya cultured butter www.pepesaya.com.au which is delicious.

Coming up at the Internercontinental you can ask Executive Head Chef, Tamas Pamer and Executive Sous Chef, French-born Julien Pouteau your cooking related questions, while enjoying a two-course dinner with a glass of wine for $48.00. For more information or to make a reservation www.interconsydney.com.au or phone 9240 1396 and quote "Food Festival" to redeem this special offer which closes 31st March 2014.
