Four Seasons Hotel Sydney

As you would expect from a hotel of this calibre, everything at the Four Seasons Sydney feels considered and effortless. The service is professional and genuinely welcoming, there are plenty of spaces to sit back and unwind, and the food and bar offerings are consistently excellent. Its location near Circular Quay also makes getting around Sydney easy, whether you’re heading to the Opera House, The Rocks, or hopping on public transport.

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney – Suites and Rooms

The suites and rooms at Four Seasons Sydney are known for their spectacular views. Having stayed here many times, usually on the higher levels between floors 31 and 34, I’ve experienced a range of suites firsthand. The rooms are generously sized, thoughtfully designed, and extremely comfortable, with interesting layouts that make the most of the building’s position and outlook.

The Executive Lounge

The Executive Lounge, located on the 32nd floor, is easily one of the best I’ve experienced. It’s beautifully laid out with comfortable seating and expansive views, making it a genuinely pleasant space to relax or get some work done. Guests with lounge access can enjoy a buffet breakfast, use the space for informal meetings during the day, and unwind in the early evening with drinks and light snacks served between 5.00 pm and 8.00 pm.

I've used the lounge to work in as it is bright, comfortable and quiet with coffee and tea available during the day.

Four Seasons Hotel Lobby

The Four Seasons lobby is opulent with a staircase that takes guests up to meeting rooms, business area and the spa and gym. There is comfortable seating on the mezzanine level and a gorgeous display of artworks. Access to Mode Kitchen and Bar and Grain Bar are on this level.

Four Seasons. Hotel Sydney Gym

The Four Seasons Hotel Sydney has an excellent gym. It's bright, clean and a good range of equipment including cardio, free weights and weight machines. Water and towels are supplied. For those preferring a swim, a heated outdoor pool is on level 3.

Conferences and Events at the Four Seasons Sydney

For conferences and events, one of Sydney’s most prestigious venues is the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney’s iconic pillarless Grand Ballroom. Relaunched in 2017 following a major renovation, the space features a refined contemporary design by award-winning Australian architects Bates Smart.

Art-Deco-inspired chandeliers, fluted glass, polished stone and brass accents, and soft cream tones create an elegant and timeless setting. The ballroom is also equipped with advanced event technology, including a 12-metre-wide by 3.5-metre-high LED screen capable of ultra-sharp 4K visuals, supported by high-performance Meyer sound.

Mode Kitchen and Bar

Mode Kitchen and Bar is the Four Seasons Sydney's restaurant situated next to the lobby. I've written a separate review on Mode Kitchen and Bar.

Grain Bar Sydney

Grain Bar Sydney

Grain Bar is a stylish bar and restaurant decorated in rich colours. Grain celebrates the fine craft of drinking, with a relaxed atmosphere, an extensive menu of boutique beers, carefully-crafted cocktails, one of Australia’s largest whisky selections, and selection of great bar food. Grain Bar is available for private functions.

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney - Location

The Four Seasons Sydney is convenient to Circular Quay for guests staying from cruise liners and a few minutes walk to the railway station. At time of writing George Street is a complete shambles with the construction of the light rail, however once that is operational getting to the Four Seasons Sydney will be easy. The hotel is near The Rocks so there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shopping nearby.

Things to do Near the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney

  • Take the Ferry over to Manly and enjoy the ride, shopping, restaurants, cafes, shopping and beach. If you plan carefully you can also enjoy plenty of bush walking and in the right season, whale watching.

  • The Rocks is an historical part of Sydney apart from the great architecture, you can explore shops, cafes, pubs, walks and even have a tour of the original miners cottages.

  • The Royal Botanical Gardens are easily accessed via the Opera House, if you have the time visit the Calyx, the restaurant and the Gardens Shop. You can also walk up to Mrs Macquarie's Chair and around to Boy Charlton pool.

  • Visit Barangaroo for great dining. Further along you will come across the SEA LIFE Aquarium, Madame Tussauds and Darling Harbour.
