Sydney Dance Company : Orb, an Extraordinary Lunar Mystery

I was grateful to get a sneak peak at Sydney Dance Company's performance "Orb, an Extraordinary Lunar Mystery" last night, and I can only say WOW. I attended a rehearsal and it's such a lovely experience to watch the work that goes on behind the scenes of a production like this. I'll certainly look forward to seeing the full production and the costumes.

As I sat watching the agility and strength of the dancers, it gave me an appreciation of the effort and endurance they put into their craft. Without a doubt these talented dancers bring so much enjoyment to those of us who secretly wish we had the bodies and ability to fly in the air like they do!

These photos here are professionally taken by Pedro Greig but if you would like to see a short video of last night head over to the Sydney Chic Instagram and Deb Carr Media Instagram.

Sydney Dance Company ORB

“Living in our modern world, the vibrant city lights have endlessly fascinated me and occupied the interspaces of my sight and feelings at night. On the contrary, the moon, nature’s symbolic beauty of night, shines light into my eyes and helps me uncover the mysteries of the unconscious world which I do not know, yet I feel exist.” (Cheng Tsung-lung)
